Application specialist, Mobile HomeCage products

More than 160 neuroscience labs all over the globe use the Mobile HomeCage. We are looking for a team member who can help us support our customers and reach out to the new labs. If you have a background in imaging or electrophysiology (in mice) and you believe, as we do, that studying the awake brain is more relevant than studying the anesthetized brain, reach out to us now!

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Ph.D. (neuroscience or related field), but Ph.D. dropouts are also encouraged to apply
  • Language: excellent oral and written communication in English
  • Personal qualities: integrity, teamwork, self-discipline, flexibility, proactiveness, passion for neuroscience. Fine to be introverted and low-key :)
  • Travel requirements: travel outside of Finland 15%-20% of work time
  • Prior experience with sales and digital marketing, photo or video production, and editing is a big plus; interest to acquire these skills is a must.

Key tasks:

  • Actively identifying & contacting prospective customer labs;
  • Maintaining close relationships with existing customers;
  • Technical and scientific support to customers, prospects, distributors, and Neurotar staff;
  • Carrying out pricing negotiations & issuing quotes;
  • Active involvement with marketing & product development;
  • Developing materials and documentation for product release, training, and use;
  • Organizing & attending trade shows, roadshows and demos;
  • Preparing products for shipment to customers & trials;
  • Carrying out product installations & training;
  • Occasionally carrying out proof-of-concept and validation experiments.

This job is based in Helsinki, Finland, but it will require travel to North America, Central Europe, and possibly other locations.
